What We Look For

The areas and pests assessed will depend on the type of inspection you have booked.

Depending on the service and accessibility, we may look for:

• Evidence of pest activity

• Pest droppings or other signs

• Potential nesting or harbourage areas

• Rodent entry points

• Cockroach activity

• Flea or bed bug concerns where relevant

• Evidence of termites or timber pests

• Visible termite damage

• Conditions that may contribute to termite risk

• Moisture or environmental conditions relevant to pest activity

• Existing termite management measures where identifiable

• Other pest-related conditions relevant to the inspection

Accessible Areas

Pest inspections are generally limited to areas that are safe and reasonably accessible at the time of inspection.

Furniture, stored belongings, wall linings, flooring and other building components can restrict visibility or access to concealed areas.

The absence of visible pest activity in accessible areas does not necessarily mean pests cannot be present in concealed or inaccessible locations.

Where something requires further investigation, we'll explain our findings and any recommendations for additional inspection, treatment or monitoring.

After the Inspection

Depending on the inspection and findings, recommendations may include:

• No immediate pest treatment

• Targeted pest treatment

• Further termite assessment

• Regular termite inspections

• Rodent proofing recommendations

• Addressing food, moisture or harbourage conditions

• Monitoring

• Ongoing pest management where appropriate
